  This is the greeting for elders in Ngwa Land. It goes in this pattern>> > * Younger Person: Mazí (A Salutation to a much older person) * Elder: Ndè (A reply,meaning how are you?) * Younger Person: Nawoó * Elder: Na nwafor/ Nata Ngozi (A blessing on the younger folk) * Younger Person: Kaa nkà (Age gracefully ) * Elder: Nka mù na gi ( We will both age well ) * Younger person: Dàbirí ( Lean well) * Elder: Ocheze —— This greeting is peculiar to the vast majority of Ngwa people . About Abia

    Abia is a state in the South-East geopolitical zone of Nigeria and It is the first state in the alphabetical order of states and capitals in Nigeria. It was created on 27th of August 1991 under the government of General Ibrahim Babangida. It takes its name from the acronym of four of the state’s most populated regions which are Aba, Bende, Isuikwuato, and Afikpo. The capital of Abia is Umuahia while the largest city and commercial center in Nigeria is in Aba.
