Ngwa Greeting

 This is the greeting for elders in Ngwa Land. It goes in this pattern>> >

* Younger Person: Mazí (A Salutation to a much older person)
* Elder: Ndè (A reply,meaning how are you?)
* Younger Person: Nawoó
* Elder: Na nwafor/ Nata Ngozi (A blessing on the younger folk)
* Younger Person: Kaa nkà (Age gracefully)
* Elder: Nka mù na gi (We will both age well)
* Younger person: Dàbirí (Lean well)
* Elder: Ocheze

This greeting is peculiar to the vast majority of Ngwa people. Though some parts of Isiala Ngwa North referred to as Nsulu” indigenes have their own special type of greeting which is “NDEWO”.
